Alpharetta, GA — Delta Dental Insurance Company announced
today the award of a five-star rating – the highest available – from the Willis
Quality Index® (WQI), a benchmarking tool of insurer and
reinsurer performance. The rating, which was based on the feedback of more than
300 Willis Associates in the United States, was awarded in the September 2014
release.
Developed by the Willis
Group, the global risk advisor, insurance and reinsurance broker, and updated
twice a year, the WQI looks at several criteria including underwriting, network
access and/or cost containment, new business process and service. Participants
answer up to 25 questions and the results are compiled and assigned from one to
five stars based on relative performance.
Of the 15 U.S.-based
dental carriers ranked in the rating survey, Delta Dental Insurance Company
scored the highest in every category.
“We’re pleased with the
Willis Group’s recognition of our company and of our efforts to be a
top-performing organization,” said Anthony S. Barth, president of Delta Dental
Insurance Company. “Performance begins not after the sale is made, but from the
very start — in analyzing utilization, developing rates, onboarding customers
and so on. It doesn’t rely on one thing that’s done well but rather on all
things done well.”
Jon Trevisan, senior
vice president and director of placement for Willis Human Capital Practice in
the United States, commented, “The WQI helps Willis to facilitate constructive
insurer relationships for the ultimate benefit of our mutual clients. These
results for Delta Dental Insurance Company are indicative of the positive
perception in which they are currently held by our Associates who specialize in
dental placements and servicing.”
